Seriously this is getting ridiculous now. I refuse to admit that my tiny baby is eight months old! But since she really is....here's what's new! At 8 months .....
- Mariah has another tooth - that makes 3! She has a random straggler tooth on the bottom and still none on the top. Hilarious. She's a tiny bit redneck
- She is busier than ever. Into everything, grabbing everything, cannot hold still to save her life. Her new favorite trick is to rifle through the pockets of any waitress standing too close, haha!
- She weighs in at 18 lbs. 4 oz. We had a doctor's visit for her poor goopy eyes and got a weight but no length measurement. We'll be having a consult with an eye surgeon on May 4 to see if she needs surgery for her non-draining ducts (wah! Mama doesn't like it!)
- Baby girl is CRAWLING! She just started the belly off the floor crawl this week but has been scooting around on her face for a few weeks. She is fast! We now have a super ugly gate enclosing our family room. It may not be pretty but it does the trick!
- The little turkey is now pulling up to standing every time I put her in her crib. It is so weird to walk in there and have a baby head staring back at you. She likes to stand up and hold on to the couch too, but hasn't started moving herself around standing (yet)
- The formula acceptance may have been short lived....it was refused yet again this week. I may have to pump until she's 12.
- Mariah gives the BEST kisses. Sometimes with sound effects - those are my favorites! Sometimes as an excuse to bite - those are not so cute.
- She is turning into a little person. I know she's always been a person. But now she's getting this little personality. She is not shy to let you know when she doesn't like something. She does NOT like to be put down or left alone. She hates her car seat but loves to be strapped in to her stroller (go figure). She has started to have some stranger anxiety and will seek out mama in a crowd (I'm not gonna lie...I love it!) but will warm up to people pretty quick if given the chance.
Totally mesmerized by the TV. Who needs a babysitter?!
Please note she finally has some hair on the back of her head, wahoo!
Gathering all her toys to her corner before she yells for me in the morning
